The 2026 edition officially began on Thursday, July 2, at Lost Beach Club in Malindi, bringing together music lovers, tourists and beach enthusiasts for a three-day celebration along Kenya’s Coast.

Festival-goers are treated to a packed programme featuring live performances by top artistes and DJs, beach games, water sports, food and drink experiences, fashion showcases and other lifestyle activities designed to highlight the region’s vibrant entertainment scene.

The event has also attracted visitors from different parts of Kenya and abroad, boosting the local tourism and hospitality sectors.

To ensure the event runs smoothly, authorities deployed a multi-agency security team comprising the police, General Service Unit (GSU), Tourist Police Unit, Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) and other security agencies. Traffic management measures and emergency response plans were also put in place around the venue to enhance safety and ease congestion throughout the festival.

Since its launch in 2017, Summer Tides has become one of East Africa’s biggest annual beach festivals, promoting coastal tourism while offering revellers a unique blend of music, entertainment, culture and unforgettable beach experiences.
