Stoopid Boy’s death: 2Mbili releases withheld podcast after learning of rapper’s demise

Digital content creator Andrew Duncan Oduor, widely known as 2Mbili, has released a podcast episode featuring rapper Stoopid Boy, which he had withheld for two months, following news of the musician’s death.
In an emotional statement issued on Thursday, August 27, 2026, 2Mbili revealed that the two recorded the interview about two months ago, but he chose not to release it because of some of the things the rapper said during their conversation.
According to 2Mbili, Stoopid Boy had repeatedly asked him to release the episode and made the request again on Tuesday, just days before news of his demise emerged.
“2 Months Ago We Did A Podcast With Stoopid!! I Never Released It Coz Of The Things He Said In The Pod! He Has Been Pushing Me To Release The Episode!! This week on Tuesday he asked again & I wasn’t planning to release it!” 2Mbili wrote.
However, the news of Stoopid Boy’s death changed his mind.
2Mbili said he was deeply affected after learning of the rapper’s demise and felt he had no option but to finally share the interview, which he believes could be the last one Stoopid Boy gave.
“But my heart is weak over getting news of his demise!! I Have Had No Option But To Release What I Think Is The Last Interview He Did!!” he added.
The content creator further revealed that he and others had tried their best to help Stoopid Boy change, but their efforts were unsuccessful.
“We always did our best to try to change him, but we failed!! May God keep His spirit at peace!!” 2Mbili mourned.
His decision to release the previously withheld podcast comes as Kenyans continue mourning Stoopid Boy, whose death has sparked an outpouring of tributes.

Stoopid Boy, whose real name is Edger and who was best known for his hit Gbag Na Jug, died on Thursday, August 27, 2026, leaving fans and fellow entertainers mourning his sudden demise.
His close friend, singer Jay Classic, confirmed the news in a Facebook video after arriving at the rapper’s home in Gotha City. He said Stoopid Boy’s manager, Casto, was also present as mourners gathered at the home.
“It is really bad. But we pray for the family and we pray to God that all will be well,” Jay said as he appealed for prayers and strength for the grieving family.
Jay further claimed that Stoopid Boy died by suicide, saying he had gone to the place where the artiste died.
The tragedy comes barely two months after the death of Stoopid Boy’s brother, according to Jay, leaving their mother grieving the loss of all her children.
