Stevo Simple Boy emotional as he attends burial of influencer who once paid his rent

Kenyan rapper Stevo Simple Boy has paid an emotional tribute to his late friend Leon Goga, recalling how the influencer supported him financially and helped him move into a better house during a difficult period in his life.
In a tiktok video on Friday, July 24, 2026, Stevo confirmed that he, alongside other friends, attended the burial in Homa Bay to support family and bid farewell to the late influencer.
He then remembered Leon as a friend who stepped in to support him when he was struggling and helped him secure a better place to live.
Stevo said he had not forgotten the support Leon offered him at a time when he was facing difficulties, noting that his friend’s kindness had left a lasting impact on his life.
“Today we came for the burial of our friend who is called Leon Goga. I remember he once helped me move to a better house when I was struggling and he helped me a lot,” Stevo said.
The rapper also sent a message of comfort to Leon’s family as they came to terms with his death.
He told the bereaved family that he and others would continue standing with them during the difficult period and urged them not to feel alone following the loss of their loved one.
“And to his family during this difficult time, I want them to know that we are thinking about them and sorry for them and we love them. Let them not feel heartbroken now because Leon has gone because we will stay with them,” he added.
Also present at the burial was TikToker Obidan Dela, who joined Stevo in remembering Leon and reflecting on the impact he had on the rapper’s life.

Obidan said he knew Leon from their time at Egerton University and recalled witnessing the friendship between the late influencer and Stevo Simple Boy.
The TikToker said Leon had made a significant contribution to Stevo’s life, particularly during a period when the rapper was struggling and needed help.
“Leon, I was with him at Egerton and I remember he touched Stevo’s life so much because there was a time Stevo was struggling in life and he came through for us,” Obidan said.
He explained that Leon’s support for Stevo was among the reasons they travelled to Homa Bay to attend his burial and honour his memory.
“That is why we are here in Homa Bay for his burial and may God rest his soul in peace,” he added.
Obidan also acknowledged that Leon had left behind a young family, promising that they would continue supporting them following his death.
The TikToker said Leon’s friends would remain close to his family and continue offering their support as they navigated life without him.
“Leon also left behind a young family. We will support them and we will also be friends,” Obidan said.
He further extended his condolences to Leon’s family, friends and fellow comrades who were mourning his death.
“Sorry to his fellow comrades and to his family. May his soul rest in eternal peace,” he added.
The burial brought together Leon’s friends and acquaintances, including Stevo and Obidan, who travelled to Homa Bay to pay their final respects.
