In a video posted on both of their social media pages on Monday,July 20,2026, Oga Obinna is seen handing over the Ksh 2 million to Bolo after the FIFA World Cup final match.
The highly publicised wager had kept fans talking for days after the two exchanged a series of videos challenging each other ahead of the final. While Obinna confidently backed Argentina, Bolo remained firm that Spain would emerge victorious.
The friendly rivalry began when Obinna invited anyone willing to stake Ksh500,000 on the final, saying he was certain Argentina would win. Bolo later responded by raising the stakes to Ksh1M before Obinna accepted the challenge and doubled it to Ksh2 million
Friendly challenge turns into Ksh2 million wager
As the excitement around the World Cup final grew, both personalities continued to exchange playful messages online, with each insisting their chosen team would lift the trophy.
At one point, Obinna confidently challenged Bolo to meet him for the match and settle the bet in person. “Let’s make Ksh2Million. Spain win, I will give you Ksh2 million in cash. If Argentina wins, you will give me Ksh 2 million. There is no backing out,” Obinna said.
He also urged Bolo to confirm that he had the money ready before the final, insisting the agreement would not change.
Bolo insisted the bet would stand
Before the final kicked off, Bolo warned Obinna against attempting to change the terms of their agreement.
In a public statement, Bolo said the wager would remain valid regardless of whether the match was decided during normal time, extra time or penalties.
“I wish to formally notify the public that credible intelligence at my disposal suggests there may be a calculated attempt by Mr Obinna to repudiate his Ksh 2 million obligation in the unfortunate event that the match concludes in a draw,” Bolo stated.
He added: “The wager remains valid irrespective of the outcome after regulation time. Should the contest proceed to extra time and ultimately be decided by a penalty shootout, the terms of the bet shall remain fully enforceable and binding,” he said.

Following Spain’s victory over Argentina in the World Cup final, Bolo’s prediction proved correct, meaning Obinna lost the Ksh2 million wager.
