Nyako says she is under investigation in Germany after being reported over TikTok earnings

Germany-based Kenyan TikToker Nyako has claimed that she is under investigation by the German government after three Kenyans reported her over claims that she was receiving social benefits while earning money from TikTok.
Speaking after returning to TikTok on Thursday, July 23, 2026, the self-proclaimed TikTok president said she had been summoned for an interview by German authorities over the matter, which she linked to her activities on the social media platform.
Nyako said she had previously addressed the matter and even shared a letter she received from the German government before taking a break from TikTok.
According to the content creator, the authorities’ inquiry was centred on reports that she was benefiting from government support while simultaneously earning income through TikTok.
“You guys reported me. Yes, I was reported to the German government. I talked about it. I even posted the letter I received from the government before I took a break from TikTok. I was summoned for an interview, yes, and the whole issue and the summons were about TikTok,” Nyako said.
Nyako claimed that three Kenyans had reported her to the German government, saying that she was living on social benefits while also receiving money from TikTok.
She, however, strongly denied the claims, insisting that she was not receiving social benefits and had not been dependent on government funds for a long time.
“Three of you Kenyans decided to report to the German government that I am living on social money and, at the same time, getting money from TikTok, which is not true. I do not take social money. I do not live on government funds,” she said.

The TikToker further explained that the assistance she had previously received from the German government ended after she left the shelter where she had been staying.
Nyako said she was now waiting for the ongoing investigations to establish whether she was receiving social benefits as claimed.
“I do not live on government funds. The last time I was helped by the government was when I was in the shelter. That was the end of me being helped by the government. Now the investigations are going on to prove whether I am taking social money or not,” she said.
Nyako also addressed her current employment status, saying that she was not working at the moment and did not have a regular job.
She explained that she was currently a full-time mother to her children, while maintaining that she was not relying on social benefits to support herself.
“I am also not working at the moment. I do not go to work. I am a full-time mother to my children, and I am not living on social money,” she added.
At the same time, Nyako revealed that she was planning to leave Germany, saying that she had decided to relocate to another country.
She disclosed that she had found a new partner and was preparing to move away with him.
“I would also like to confirm that I am moving out of Germany. So I am good. I have found a new lover, and I am moving away to a first-world country with that man,” she said.
