Music producer and musician Njenga Chege, widely known as Magix Enga, has addressed speculation surrounding his recent transformation after photos showing his changed appearance went viral on social media.

Taking to his official social media account on Friday, August 21, 2026, Enga clarified that he did not go to rehab, saying the transformation was a personal decision and one he attributes partly to his faith.

Btw, sikuenda rehab, I decided to make a transformation, and God did the rest,” Magix Enga said.

His remarks come as fans continue to react to his changed appearance, with the producer now offering his own explanation for the transformation.

Other reasons behind his transformation

Enga also praised his wife, Joy, whom he credited for being a supportive presence in his life.

“Big up Jojo, my beautiful wife,” he wrote.

He further shared what he described as the secret to having a peaceful marriage.

Siri ni kuoa a supportive and smart queen. Peace kwa ndoa muhimu,” Enga stated.

His latest comments echo sentiments he shared earlier in 2026, when he publicly expressed gratitude to Joy for standing by him during a difficult period in his life.

Enga previously said there was a time when he felt lost, lacked direction and had little support. He credited Joy with helping him regain his confidence and passion for music.

“Then God brought you into my life, Joy. You believed in me when I didn’t even believe in myself. You stood by me when nobody else did,” he previously said.

He also credited her with helping him rediscover his creativity.

“Because of you, I found my sound again. I found my hunger again. I’m making music like I used to with passion, with fire and now the songs are doing well,” he said.

Enga and Joy’s marriage

Enga and Joy officially tied the knot in a civil wedding at the Nakuru Marriage Department in March 2026.

The couple kept the ceremony private, with Enga describing their union as a love story written by God.

“God wrote this love story—now it’s sealed. Shuguli tulifunga bila invitation, bibi na bwana,” he announced after the wedding.

His latest tribute to Joy comes months after their wedding and further highlights the role he says she has played in his life.

For Enga, the viral photos have provided an opportunity to clarify that his transformation was not the result of rehabilitation but rather a personal decision that he says was strengthened by his faith and the support of his wife.
