Nora Muendo makes emotional appeal after seeing Kenyans beg for jobs online

Businesswoman and content creator Nora Muendo has made an emotional appeal to Kenyans with job opportunities to come forward and help people who have been struggling to secure employment.
In a video shared on TikTok on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, Muendo said she was moved by the overwhelming number of people who have been openly pleading for jobs online, with some seeking even the most basic employment opportunities.
The businesswoman recalled a previous video she had shared and said the reactions from job seekers had left her concerned about the number of Kenyans desperately looking for work.
“Before I proceed with work today, there is a previous video we had made and, oh my God, the number of people that are just praying to just get a job, they are so many,” Muendo said.
She then appealed to employers, business owners and anyone with an available position to use the comments section of her video to share information about their vacancies.
Muendo said she believed job seekers would follow the conversation and potentially connect with employers who were looking for workers.
“So please, if you see this video and you have a vacancy, just write down here. I am sure they will follow this video,” she added.
The entrepreneur urged Kenyans not to limit their offers to highly specialised or professional positions, noting that many people were simply looking for an opportunity to earn a living.
She specifically mentioned jobs such as househelp and shopkeeper positions, saying any legitimate opportunity could make a significant difference in someone’s life.
“So if you have any kind of a job or opening, some of these people just want even jobs like house girls or being shopkeepers. Whichever you have, just give them,” Muendo said.
She further encouraged employers to share the opportunities publicly so that those searching for work could apply directly.
Muendo said she hoped the initiative could help at least a handful of people who have been struggling to find employment.
“Just put it in here and see if we can help maybe ten people. That will mean a lot,” she said.
During that earlier incident, Muendo gathered the applicants and asked them to hold their academic and application documents as she led them in prayer.
She told the job seekers that although her business might not have the capacity to employ everyone who had turned up, she hoped the documents they carried would open doors for them elsewhere.
“We might not all of us get this job, but as I pray, I want you also to pray for your papers, that they are going to be a blessing to you,” she told them at the time.
Muendo encouraged the applicants to make their personal prayers to God and expressed her belief that their prayers would be answered according to His will.
She also prayed for those seeking employment, describing God as the owner of silver and gold and asking Him to open opportunities beyond the positions available at her company.
