Njugush trades places with Butita in group photo after breakup with Wakavinye

By , August 2, 2026

Content creator Timothy Ndegwa Kimani, alias Blessed Njugush, stood out as the only member of his close friend group without a partner at the TTNT 6 show premiere on Saturday, August 1, 2026, with his friends attending the event alongside their significant others.

The moment marked a change from 2024, when Eddie Butita was the one who appeared solo while the rest of the group posed with their partners.

The group included Judy Nyawira and Abel Mutua, Phil Director and Mukami Maina, as well as Celeste Terer and Eddie Butita. Unlike his friends, Njugush attended without a partner and was seen riding solo during the group photo.

The scene came after Njugush confirmed his separation from his wife, Celestine Ndinda, popularly known as Wakavinye. The two had been together for years and had built a public brand around comedy, family content and business ventures.

In 2024, Butita was the one who stood out as the single member of the friend group when the others appeared with their partners. At the TTNT 6 premiere, that position had changed, with Njugush now appearing as the only friend without a partner.

The change comes months after Njugush confirmed that he and Wakavinye had decided to end their relationship. The content creator shared the news in April 2026, explaining that the decision had been made after careful thought and with mutual respect.

On Tuesday, April 21, 2026, Njugush shared a brief Instagram post confirming the separation. He also revealed that the separation was not recent and that the two had already been living apart while continuing to raise their children together.

The announcement came as a surprise to many Kenyans because Njugush and Wakavinye had for years been known as a popular celebrity couple. Their work together included comedy, family content and business ventures, helping them build a strong public image as a team.

Njugush’s appearance at the TTNT 6 premiere therefore marked a different chapter for the content creator. While his friends arrived with their partners, he was the only one in the group attending without a significant other.

His separation from Wakavinye has also changed the way he appears within the friend group. In 2024, Butita was the one riding solo while his friends were accompanied by their partners, but this year Njugush has taken that position.

The group photo captured the difference clearly, with Judy Nyawira, Abel Mutua, Phil Director, Mukami Maina, Celeste Terer and Eddie Butita appearing as couples while Njugush stood alone.
