Nicki Bigfish recalls scary moment man pulled gun on him during prank

Content creator and prankster Nicki Bigfish has opened up about one of the most terrifying moments of his career, revealing that a prank nearly ended in tragedy when a police officer almost opened fire after mistaking a staged scene for a real crime.
Speaking in an interview on Saturday, July 25, 2026, Bigfish said the incident happened during the early days of his prank career, when he and his team were still experimenting with different ideas and learning where it was safe to film.
“Kitu sijui hapo karibu tushotiwe, msee alitoa gun sio mtu karao kwanza,” Bigfish recalled, describing how close they came to being shot.
Horror-themed prank
According to the prankster, the incident happened while he and his team were filming an elaborate horror-themed prank.
Together with his friend Carlos Experience and several bouncers, they staged what appeared to be a gruesome murder scene in a forest.
The team used the sound of a power saw, fake screams from inside the forest, and even threw a dummy severed head onto the road to convince unsuspecting passersby that a horrific crime had taken place.
As people approached the scene, the team intensified the act by shouting, “Mlete mwingine!” making it appear another victim was about to be attacked.
The prank sparked panic among members of the public, with some screaming in fear.
Officer nearly opened fire
Bigfish said the situation became especially dangerous when a police officer noticed what appeared to be a serious crime.
“Kuna polisi alisema aliona kitu kinafanyika alikuwa anataka shoot kutoka mbali lakini akasema acha akaribie. Sasa ndio akakaribia akaanza kuona ma cameras,“ Bigfish said.
The officer moved closer before taking action and realised the incident was a prank after spotting the production cameras.
Looking back, Bigfish admitted some of the team’s early ideas pushed the limits.
He explained that experience has since changed how they approach filming.
“With experience ndio unajua where to do pranks, where not to do pranks,” he said.
Nicki explained that before landing their television show on a local TV, the team had been asked to film an entire season of prank content.
Because many people were still unfamiliar with the concept, they often had to explain that the videos were harmless entertainment similar to hidden-camera shows seen abroad.
