Murugi Munyi: I like to have access to my partner’s phone
By Paulette Mboga, August 28, 2026Murugi Munyi says she likes to have access to her partner’s phone, arguing that phone access should be mutual between married couples.
The social media influencer shared her view while discussing the idea that married people deserve privacy. She said she does not agree with keeping phone access one-sided in a relationship. Murugi explained that if she can access her partner’s phone, she should also allow him to access hers.
“What do you think about the line, married people deserve privacy? I like to have access to my partner’s phone. And that is the bare minimum,” Murugi Munyi said on Friday, August 28, 2026, while speaking on her podcast.
Murugi further explained that she believes the same rule should apply to both partners. She said she would not want a situation where she can check her partner’s phone while he is not allowed to check hers.

“And in that same way, ..there is no way that I can have access to his phone and then I am like you can’t have access to mine,” Murugi Munyi said.
