Mkamburi Chigogo says she has no problem with Azziad after suspecting she blocked her

Radio host Mkamburi Chigogo has said she has no problem with Azziad Nasenya after suspecting that the content creator may have blocked her on social media.
She made the remarks while discussing Azziad and her recent videos, where she also addressed reactions to the way she speaks on Saturday, September 19, 2026.
Mkamburi said she noticed that she could no longer see Azziad’s content, leading her to think that she had been blocked. However, she said the situation did not bother her and that she had become used to such experiences.
“Azziad, I think she blocked me because I can’t see her. Ahh mimi nime blockiwa. Hii mtaa, Nimeblockiwa hadi sasa nishazoea. And it is okay, hata sina shida na hiyo,” Mkamburi Chigogo said.
She then turned her attention to Azziad’s recent clips, where she said the content creator had been speaking about her growth. Mkamburi noted that some people had picked up on a change in Azziad’s accent while speaking in the videos.
Mkamburi weighs in on Azziad’s accent
“Sasa Azziad is making her clips. Alikuwa anaongelesha watu about her growth, and then guys noticed that her accent, kidogo inakubali,” Mkamburi said.
Mkamburi then played a clip of Azziad speaking, during which she laughed at the way she was speaking. She later said she did not see a problem with the change in Azziad’s pronunciation and accent.
She said she did not agree with the criticism and instead offered a different explanation for the change.
“Watu wanamwambia alisomea sijui shule ya Western. Mimi by the way sioni shida. Halafu unajua, kitu watu hawajajua by the way, in Azziad’s defence, ukisafiri safari, a lot, I swear there is something about the brain …ina nasa kwa akili,” Mkamburi said.
She added that travelling often could affect how a person pronounces certain words, while the accent may remain. Mkamburi said people could notice the difference when they expressed themselves.
“Utapata probably the pronunciation of some words, lakini ile accent wallahy inabaki. Inastick, so unapata unaongea, unarealize hata ukiji express, imebadilika,” Mkamburi said.
Despite laughing while watching the clip, Mkamburi said she did not consider Azziad’s accent a problem. She said she viewed the way she was speaking as normal English rather than something that needed criticism.
“Kwa hivyo mimi, hata nikiskiza nikasema hata this is not even bad. This is just basic English,” Mkamburi said.
