Mbavu Destroyer wins Ksh200K after crushing Majembe with 85% votes in marketing contest

Amateur boxer and content creator Ferdinand Omondi, popularly known as Mbavu Destroyer, has emerged victorious in an entertaining week-long marketing competition after beating his long-time rival Portifas Odipo, popularly known as Majembe, with an overwhelming 85 per cent of the votes.
Speaking in a video shared on TikTok on Sunday, August 2, 2026, YouTuber 2Mbili, who was overseeing the competition, announced Mbavu Destroyer as the winner and revealed that he had walked away with a prize worth Ksh200,000 after securing the majority of votes from social media users.
“The winner of this competition is none other than Mbavu Destroyer. Congratulations to the winner of Ksh200,000,” 2Mbili announced.
He explained that the voting process had lasted 163 hours, equivalent to six days, during which fans were allowed to decide which of the two personalities had done a better job promoting the company.
According to the final results, Mbavu Destroyer secured 85 per cent of the total votes, translating to 15,092 votes, while Majembe finished second with 14 per cent, equivalent to 2,594 votes.
“First, I want to thank everyone for voting. The voting process took 163 hours, which is six days. The total number of votes was 17,686. Team Mbavu won with 85 per cent, which is 15,092 votes, and Majembe came second with 14 per cent, which is 2,594 votes,” 2Mbili said.
He consequently declared Mbavu Destroyer the winner of the six-day competition, marking another chapter in the rivalry between the two viral personalities.
“The winner of this competition, six days straight, is Mbavu Destroyer,” he added.

Despite finishing second, Majembe was also recognised for his contribution to the competition, with the company owner, Murage, announcing that he would receive a separate prize for his efforts.
Murage said Majembe had also done an impressive job marketing the furniture company and would therefore be allowed to visit the showroom and select a sofa set and a television stand to take home.
“Because Majembe also did well with advertising, let him go to the showroom and pick a sofa set and a TV stand and go with them home,” Murage announced.
Mbavu Destroyer, on the other hand, was awarded furniture worth Ksh200,000, comprising a bed valued at Ksh120,000 and a mattress worth Ksh60,000, among other items that brought his total prize value to the announced Ksh200,000.
“And you, Mbavu, go there also and pick a bed worth Ksh120,000 and a mattress worth Ksh60,000, so it also totals to Ksh200,000. Is that not good?” Murage told the winner.
The competition saw the two young personalities put their marketing skills to the test, with each tasked with promoting the furniture company for one week.
Throughout the competition, the two used their social media platforms to showcase and advertise the company’s products, with their followers closely following the rivalry and campaign.
Social media users were then allowed to vote for the personality they felt had done a better job marketing the company during the competition.
