Vurugu Boxing champion Protifas Odipo, popularly known as Majembe, has finally received the promised Toyota Noah just days after he emerged victorious from the highly publicised fight held at the Kasarani Indoor Arena on April 4, 2026.

The handover ceremony took place in Nairobi and was officiated by officials from the betting company that had pledged the vehicle to the winner of the bout.

Other individuals who were present during the occasion included the organiser of the match, media personality Oga Obinna, Kameme FM host Muthoni wa Kirumba, popularly known as Baby Top, Kikuyu content creator Mbote Njogu, and SPM Buzz’s Silva Kiddo, among others.

During the event, Majembe appeared visibly delighted as he posed for photographs with officials from the betting company alongside celebrities such as Baby Top and Obinna, who had openly backed him to defeat his opponent during the match.

In a video shared on Instagram, he is seen being handed a dummy key to symbolise the occasion before an official from the betting company retrieved the vehicle’s actual keys and handed them over to him, officially declaring that the car now belonged to him.

The moment was met with loud jubilation and cheers from those in attendance.

A few minutes later, he was ushered into the front seat and encouraged to take the car for a spin around the hotel compound, drawing further excitement and applause from the gathered crowd.

Speaking about the milestone, Majembe thanked God for how his life had transformed and revealed that his mother is among the very first people he intends to travel with in the car.

He further stated that he will always prioritise taking his family with him and expressed gratitude to the betting company that fulfilled the promise attached to his victory.

“Now I will not walk anymore. And the person I wish to drive with this car first is my mum. But my whole family, I also wish to carry them in this car so they can feel it and experience it. It will be so special for me,” he said.

Majembe also noted that the moment of driving his family in the car will be particularly special because it represents a rare achievement.

He revealed that no one in his family has ever owned a car before and said he feels honoured and fortunate to be among the first to achieve such a milestone.

“It is an achievement and a special thing for me because in my family, no one owns a car, even where I come from. That means I will be the very first,” he said joyfully.
