Mbavu Destroyer announces new role as Buruklyn Boyz’s personal bodyguard

Kenyan viral internet personality and amateur boxer Ferdinand Omondi, widely known as Mbavu Destroyer, has announced that he has been appointed as the personal bodyguard of music group Buruklyn Boyz.
In a light-hearted social media post shared on Monday, July 6, 2026, Mbavu jokingly said that anyone planning to approach the rappers would first have to deal with him.
“I have been appointed by the @burukyln_.boyz as their personal bodyguard,” Mbavu said.
“So from now onwards…if you want them…you have to pass through me first…nimejaaa ngori na itakua mbayaaaaa.”
He further warned people both in and out of the music industry against messing with Burkyln Boyz.
“Mess with Burukyln mess with the gang,” he warned.
Although the post appeared to be made in jest, it quickly caught the attention of fans, many of whom joined in the banter by reacting to the comedian’s playful warning.
Mbavu Destroyer and Buruklyn Boyz have previously interacted on social media, with the comedian often entertaining fans through humorous skits inspired by trending topics and celebrities.
Mbavu’s warning to Toxic Lyrikali
The announcement comes days after Mbavu issued a warning to Toxic Lyrikali.
In an Instagram post, Mbavu challenged Toxic Lyricali to meet him at Dubai Complex in Nyamasaria on August 15.
“@_toxic_lyrikali, kama unajinauwo… tupatane Dubai Complex Nyamasaria…15th of Augut,nimejaa ngori na itakua mbayaaaaa,” he wrote.
Toxic Lyricali responded to the warning in the comment section using laughing emojis, appearing not to take the message seriously. The exchange has since drawn attention online, with Majembe now joining the conversation and asking Mbavu to leave the rapper out of his issues.
