Kwa nini Wakamba hawazeekangi? – Butita marvels at Abel Mutua’s baby face as he turns 40

Comedian Eddie Butita has jokingly questioned why Kamba people appear to maintain youthful looks after Abel Mutua celebrated his 40th birthday.
Butita made the remarks on Friday, August 28, 2026, in a humorous social media video celebrating the veteran actor and comedian’s milestone.
The comedian compared Abel’s youthful appearance with that of members of other Kenyan communities, jokingly asking why Kamba people seemingly do not age.
“Kwa nini Wakamba hawazeekangi? Ulikosea wapi sisi Waluhya?” Butita joked.
He went on to marvel at Abel’s appearance, noting that even at 40, the actor still looks considerably younger.
“Unakutana na Mkamba ako 40, 60, 70, ni sura tu inakauka. Mkamba hazeeki. How is Abel 40 years? 40 years aje? 40 years aje?” he said.
Butita also humorously contrasted the youthful appearance of Kamba people with what he described as the ageing appearance of some Luhya personalities.
“Kwani si Waluhya tulikosea wapi? Mbona sisi hatukae vijana apart from mimi?” he joked.
He singled out fellow comedian DJ Shiti, joking that although he is 24 years old [Shiti is not 24 in real sense], his appearance makes him look much older.
“Angalia mtu kama DJ Shiti, 24 years old, but angalia anakaa!” Butita said.
The comedian continued with his playful comparison, saying Luhyas seemingly have no gradual transition from childhood to adulthood.
“Waluhya hata hatuna transition, hatukuangi hata vijana, hatukuangi teenager, Waluhya it’s either sisi ni watoto ama wababa,” he joked.
Turning back to Abel, Butita expressed disbelief at his age, joking that the actor should already be showing signs of ageing.
“Abel anakuaje 40 years? Anafaa azee, huyu ni mzee,” he said.
Judy Nyawira celebrates Abel
Earlier, Abel’s wife, Judy Nyawira, took to social media to celebrate the actor as he marked his 40th birthday.
Nyawira praised her husband while expressing gratitude for the blessings in his life.
“You are favoured of the Lord. His goodness is truly running after you! ❤️ Happy 40th birthday, my love! ❤️” she wrote.
Abel, who has built a successful career as an actor, comedian, filmmaker and content creator, has remained a prominent figure in Kenya’s entertainment industry.
