Kathy Kiuna names date when Kenyans will gather to honour her late husband’s legacy
Jubilee Christian Church (JCC) co-founder Lady Bishop Kathy Kiuna has announced that a special service will be held to honour the legacy of her late husband, Bishop Allan Kiuna, nearly two years after his passing.
In a statement shared on Facebook on Saturday, July 4, 2026, Kathy invited family, friends, church members and Kenyans at large to attend the service scheduled for Wednesday, July 9, 2026, at JCC Parklands along Wangari Maathai Road.
The service will begin at 3:00 p.m., with attendees expected to observe a black-and-white dress code as they gather to celebrate the life, ministry and lasting impact of the renowned preacher.
While acknowledging the immense void left by her husband’s passing, Kathy said his teachings, wisdom and influence continue to inspire thousands of people across Kenya and beyond.
“Join us on Wednesday, 9th July, as we honour and celebrate the life and legacy of our general, Bishop Allan Kiuna, from 3 p.m. Though he is deeply missed, his wisdom, impact and legacy lives on. We look forward to sharing this time of remembrance with you,” she wrote.

The upcoming gathering marks another milestone in remembering one of Kenya’s most influential televangelists, whose ministry transformed countless lives over several decades.
Bishop Allan Kiuna died on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at the age of 57, while receiving treatment at a Nairobi hospital after a lengthy battle with multiple myeloma, a form of blood cancer that affects plasma cells in the bone marrow.
He was first diagnosed with the illness in 2018, with his wife later revealing that the treatment journey had been physically exhausting. In 2019, Kathy disclosed that chemotherapy had left the bishop battling severe leg pain, weakness and difficulty walking.
Despite undergoing specialised treatment in both Kenya and the United States, Bishop Kiuna continued preaching and leading the church whenever his health allowed, becoming a symbol of resilience and unwavering faith throughout his illness.
Following his death, thousands of mourners gathered to celebrate his life during a series of emotional memorial services attended by church leaders, politicians, family members and faithful from across the country.
The funeral attracted several national leaders, including then-Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and Pastor Dorcas Rigathi, while President William Ruto’s tribute was read during the service.
His final interment was conducted during a private and emotional ceremony officiated by senior church leaders led by Bishop Mark Kariuki, bringing to a close the earthly journey of a preacher widely credited with shaping modern Pentecostal ministry in Kenya.
Nearly two years after his passing, the church says the upcoming celebration will not only remember the man behind the ministry but also reaffirm the enduring legacy of a preacher whose teachings continue to influence generations of believers.
