Facebook influencer Karangu Muraya has reacted to a thanksgiving and homecoming ceremony held for Archbishop Paul Gathuo of the Israel Assemblies of God Church in Kondoo Farm, Uasin Gishu County, where Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi gifted the church leader a brand-new Prado TX.

In a Facebook message on Sunday, May 31, 2026, Karangu expressed gratitude for what he described as a well-organised and spiritually significant event. He acknowledged the contributions of those who made the occasion successful and appreciated the honour accorded to the Archbishop.

“Privileged to attend Thanksgiving and the homecoming ceremony of our Archbishop Paul Gathuo of Assembly of God Israel Burnt forest, Kondoo farm,” he wrote.

In his message, Karangu noted that he was privileged to attend the thanksgiving and homecoming ceremony of Archbishop Gathuo and thanked all those who made the event vibrant and memorable.

“God bless you all for making his event colourful… To Hon. Oscar Kipchumba Sudi, God bless you for gifting our Archbishop a brand new Prado TX,” he added.

Karangu further highlighted unity within the church community, noting that members should appreciate the elevation of their spiritual leaders and avoid negativity over such recognitions.

He added that luxury vehicles of such a nature are not common within their church context and expressed gratitude to God for remembering the Archbishop in such a way.

“We as Akurinu, tumesema Asante sana  Alafu si poa mtu kukasirika kwa sababu ya askofu wetu kuinuliwa….Magari za aina hii kwa kanisa yetu hasikuangi mingi….Asante sana Mungu kwa kukumbuka Archbishop wetu…. Mungu nakuomba hii neema itembelee sisi washirika na tutakusifu milele na milele,” he wrote.

On his part, Sudi reflected on the gesture, saying he had the honour of gifting the car to Archbishop Gathuo during the event held at Kondoo Local Church.

The MP described Archbishop Gathuo as a long-time friend and brother, noting that their relationship has lasted for over 20 years.

“Today I had the honour of gifting a car to my good friend and brother, Archbishop Paul Stephen Gathuo of Israel Assemblies of God, Kondoo Local Church, Burnt Forest, Uasin Gishu County. For over 20 years, our friendship has stood the test of time. Archbishop Gathuo has been more than a church leader; he’s been a true peace ambassador in Burnt Forest, a voice that brings people together,” Sudi wrote.

He further stated that the Archbishop has been more than a church leader, describing him as a peace ambassador in Burnt Forest and a voice that brings people together.

Sudi added that the gift was intended to ease the Archbishop’s work and support his ministry as he continues to reach out to more people through his pastoral duties.

“This gift will ease his work and help him reach more souls as he continues serving in ministry,” he wrote.
