Sudi gifts car to Archbishop Paul Gathuo in honour of 20-year friendship
Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has gifted a vehicle to Archbishop Paul Stephen Gathuo of Israel Assemblies of God, Kondoo Local Church, in Burnt Forest, Uasin Gishu County, in recognition of their friendship spanning more than two decades.
The legislator shared the news on Sunday, May 31, 2026, through his X page, describing the archbishop as a long-time friend and a key figure in promoting peace and unity in the region.
According to Sudi, his relationship with Archbishop Gathuo has endured for over 20 years, with the church leader playing an important role not only in ministry but also in community development.

“Today I had the honour of gifting a car to my good friend and brother, Archbishop Paul Stephen Gathuo of Israel Assemblies of God, Kondoo Local Church, Burnt Forest, Uasin Gishu County,” Sudi said.
The MP noted that their friendship has stood the test of time, growing through different seasons of life and public service.
Ministry support
Sudi praised Archbishop Gathuo for his contribution to peacebuilding efforts in Burnt Forest, an area that has experienced periods of tension in the past.

“For over 20 years, our friendship has stood the test of time. Archbishop Gathuo has been more than a church leader; he’s been a true peace ambassador in Burnt Forest, a voice that brings people together,” he stated.
The lawmaker added that the vehicle would help ease the cleric’s movement as he continues his ministry work and outreach programmes.
Sudi expressed confidence that the gift would enhance the archbishop’s ability to serve congregants and communities across the region.
“This gift will ease his work and help him reach more souls as he continues serving in ministry,” he added.
