Iam Marwa tells off Kenyans who don’t embrace travel as sister lands back from Poland
YouTuber Iam Marwa has told off Kenyans who do not embrace travel, as he welcomed his sister back to Kenya following a stay in Poland.
Speaking in a TikTok video on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, as he reflected on what he described as a good life, Marwa emphasised that people should move beyond living in one place for their entire lives without experiencing different cultures.
“I just received my sister from Poland, and you know, guys, that is the description of good life now,” he said.
He noted that life should not be limited to being born in one place, attending school there, getting married there, and eventually dying in the same environment, arguing that such a lifestyle limits personal growth and exposure.
According to him, travelling and interacting with different cultures is an important part of truly experiencing life, adding that people should allow themselves to be surprised by new environments and ways of living.
“Not just you being a physical feature, and by that I mean you were born in one place, you go to school there, you marry in that same place, and you die in that same place. What life is that?” Marwa said.

Marwa also urged people to take advantage of opportunities while they are still alive, saying that time is limited and should be used wisely. He encouraged individuals to make hay while the sun shines, stressing the importance of living fully in the present.
“You have to move, you have to go outside, and you have to meet different cultures and let them surprise you with their cultures. That is actually being alive, given that one day we shall all die. Make hay while the sun shines,” he added.
He further questioned the long-term pursuit of money, asking how long one can continue chasing wealth without experiencing life beyond financial goals.
He suggested that money alone cannot fully satisfy or save a person in the long run.
As such, he added that people often assume wealth will always be enough, but at some point, individuals may realise that it cannot replace life experiences, especially travel and exposure to different cultures.
“Let’s say you are chasing money. For how long will you chase the money? You know, they usually say that whatever has a start has an end. So if you are chasing this money one day you will look at your bank account, and you will realise it can’t save you, and you will say oh my God, I wish I had visited some places,” he said.
