‘I hate shame’: Trisha Khalid reveals why she returned Mercedes gifted to her by married man

Actress Trisha Khalid has candidly opened up about one of the biggest regrets of her early adulthood, revealing why she voluntarily returned a luxury Mercedes-Benz that had been gifted to her by a married man she was dating.
Speaking during a TikTok live on Thursday, July 16, 2026, the actress admitted that she was just 18 years old when she entered the relationship, saying she now views that chapter of her life as a mistake she is not proud of.
According to Trisha, she bought her first car in 2021 at the age of 18, but disclosed that it had been financed by the married man she was romantically involved with at the time.
“I bought my first car at age 18 in 2021. The married guy I was dating… It’s something I am not proud of, so please do not judge me. We all grow through things, and we all make mistakes, and that was one of the biggest mistakes I ever made,” she said.
The actress explained that she was young and naïve at the time, admitting she had been chasing what she believed was a better life, only to realise later that it was not what she truly wanted.
“And at that time I was naïve and young. I was after the best life and such, which I did not get at the end of the day,” she added.
Reflecting on the experience, Trisha advised women to ensure that any expensive gifts, especially vehicles, are legally registered in their own names.
“Always make sure when those men give you cars that those cars are under your name,” she advised.

Trisha revealed that the vehicle in question was a metallic grey Mercedes-Benz, which she stopped using after the relationship came to an end.
Rather than wait for her former partner to demand it back, she said she made the difficult decision to return it herself.
“The first car was a Mercedes, a metallic grey one. After our breakup, I stopped owning it. I personally took it back to him,” she recalled.
The actress explained that her decision was driven by a desire to protect her dignity, saying she did not want to find herself in a situation where the car could later be used against her.
“One thing about me is that I don’t like shame. When I knew this was not working, I asked the nephew to come and pick the car because, at the end of the day, it would have reached a point where he was blackmailing me,” she said.
According to Trisha, returning the luxury vehicle before being asked for it gave her peace of mind and ultimately became a source of personal pride.
“So I took it back before he asked me for it. Later on, I realised there was so much pride in doing that,” she said.
