‘Huyu ndiye bossy’: Obidan Dela thrilled after meeting Malala’s son Leon at Kutit Festival

TikToker Obidan Dela has expressed excitement after meeting Leon Major Malala, the son of former Kakamega Senator and Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) Deputy Party Leader Cleophas Malala.
Speaking during the Kutit Culture Festival at the Carnivore Grounds in Nairobi on Saturday, August 8, 2026, Obidan introduced Leon as the boss, appearing delighted by the encounter and suggesting that the two were both doing well.
“And today I have met the boss himself. The real one and I am so happy. I am doing well and he is also doing well. He is the boss,” Obidan said.
In the video, Obidan is seen approaching Leon amid the festivities and warmly greeting him as music continued to play in the background.
The two are seen engaging in a cheerful conversation, with Leon smiling as he chatted briefly with the popular TikTok influencer.
The encounter came as Kutit Culture Festival brought together prominent figures from Kalenjin politics, entertainment and the digital space for a major celebration of Kalenjin culture in Nairobi.
Who is Leon Major Malala?
Leon has positioned his political ambitions as independent of his father’s influence and has publicly spoken about his intention to pursue his own political path.
He has also criticised President William Ruto’s administration over issues of governance and human rights while presenting himself as a youth leader and staunch Christian.

Kutit Culture Festival
The meeting between Obidan and Leon took place during the second edition of the Kutit Culture Festival, a major Kalenjin cultural celebration held at the Carnivore Grounds in Nairobi.
The festival, held on Saturday, August 8, brought together Kalenjin entertainers, politicians, DJs, MCs, content creators and culture enthusiasts from Nairobi and different parts of the country.
Among the political figures associated with the event were Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi, who serves as a patron of Kalenjin music, and Konoin MP Brighton Leonard Yegon.
Kenyan hitmaker Mejja Okwonko was among the headline entertainers at the festival, while regional DJs, MCs and content creators kept the crowd entertained throughout the event.
The festival also provided a platform for Kalenjin entertainers and young people to network while celebrating the community’s culture and identity.
It attracted attendees from Nairobi as well as counties including Bomet, Elgeyo Marakwet, Nandi, Baringo and Nakuru.
