A family dispute has emerged over the burial location of Edgar, popularly known as Stoopid Boy, following his death.

Moses, a friend of the family, said Edgar had expressed his wish to be buried at his father’s home in Siaya, while a section of the family members are pushing for the burial to be held in Nyandarua.

Moses, in an interview on Saturday, August 29, 2026, explained that he spoke to the deceased’s uncle, who is the mother’s brother, at the police station on the previous day.

“They say the mother is in Nyandarua. Edgar, the deceased, the late, said once he dies, he should be buried in his father’s place, Siaya,” Moses, a friend of the family, said.

Moses said he was surprised to find the uncle at the police station. He explained that the uncle had gone there to get the police abstract before going to the mortuary and then proceeding with arrangements for the burial.

“Yesterday, I talked to the uncle, the brother to the mother…yesterday at the police station, we were with him, the uncle to the deceased,” Moses said.

The matter has raised questions about where Edgar will eventually be laid to rest. Moses said there appeared to be plans involving Nyandarua, where the deceased’s mother was said to be, while Edgar had previously expressed a different wish.

Stooopid boy’s final burial wish

During the discussion, the interviewer asked Moses whether Edgar’s wish was to be buried in Siaya and whether the uncle from his mother’s side was making arrangements for the same to happen in Nyandarua. Moses agreed with the question before repeating Edgar’s stated wish.

“Yes. I can be corrected here. Edgar said when he I die, I want to be buried in my father’s compound,” Moses said.

Moses then made an appeal for Edgar’s wish to be respected. He said the deceased had made it clear that he wanted his final resting place to be at his father’s compound in Siaya.

“Let us let that boy be buried in Siaya,” Moses said.

Stoopid Boy, the Gbag Na Jug hitmaker, recently died, with news of his death leading to grief among his fans and fellow artistes. His death was confirmed by singer Jay Classic, who was a close friend.

Jay Classic confirmed the news in a Facebook video on Thursday, August 27, 2026.

The burial location remains a point of concern as discussions continue among those close to the deceased. Moses maintained that Edgar had stated his wish to be buried in his father’s compound in Siaya.
