Kenyan gospel musician Eko Dydda has called on the government to recognise and support the viral internet sensation Rodgers Oloo Magudha, popularly known as the Nairobi Birdman, says his unique ability to interact with birds is a rare talent that deserves national recognition.

In a message shared on his official Instagram account on Monday, June 29, 2026, Eko Dydda congratulated Nairobi Birdman for his work, noting that many Kenyans have unsuccessfully tried to domesticate doves, making his ability to communicate with and attract the birds exceptional.

Sisi tumejaribu kufuga dush [doves]mtaani ikashindikana, @nairobi_birdman anafaa kuwa supported by the ministry,” Eko Dydda said.

“Congratulations and keep up na hiyo kazi unafanya.

He urged Kenyans to rally behind the internet sensation, saying his gift is extraordinary and has the potential to inspire others.

“Kenyans should rally behind you and support you because of your gift, and no ordinary person can do what you are doing,” he urged.

The musician further appealed to the government to consider giving Nairobi Birdman a role within the ministry responsible for environment or tourism, arguing that his unique skills attract tourists and could help promote the country’s tourism sector.

“And government, mtu kama huyo anafaa kutafutiwa mahali kwa ministry ya eco ama side ya tourism juu yeyey mwenyewe anaattract tourists na hiyo skills yake,” he added.

“It’s high time, Kenyans, we support someone who has a special skill.”

Eko to Mosiria

Eko Dydda also criticised Nairobi County Chief Officer for Customer Engagement Geoffrey Mosiria for attacking Nairobi Birdman and young people who are trying to earn an honest living through their talents and creativity.

He defended Nairobi Birdman, saying the content creator had found an innovative way to support himself by showcasing his ability to interact with birds.

“Mosiria na feel so bad ati wewe unaattack vijana wanajiunua vijana wakona ideas zakujisupport kimaisha. Huyu birdman amecome up na idea za kuongea na wanyama; huyu kijana anatry kujilea, and you have a problem with him,” Eko Dydda said.

Additionally, the musician further urged Mosiria to support Nairobi Birdman instead of frustrating him, suggesting he could even serve as a brand ambassador for the ministry due to his unique talent.
