DJ Krowbar urges fathers to be kinder to themselves during Men’s Mental Health Month

Gospel DJ and entertainer DJ Krowbar has encouraged fathers to be kinder to themselves during Men’s Mental Health Month.
He shared a message highlighting the challenges many men face as they try to balance being present for their families while also providing for them financially.
According to DJ Krowbar, many fathers often feel pressure to do everything perfectly. He explained that men should remember that their presence in their children’s lives matters just as much as their efforts to provide for the family.
“Every man has to balance between two things… Be present for your family and provide for your family,” DJ Krowbar said on Saturday, June 13, 2026.

He explained that fathers should not be too hard on themselves when they are unable to spend large amounts of time with their children. He pointed to a statistic that suggests children benefit greatly from even a small amount of quality time with their fathers.
“Too all the men out there… It’s been scientifically proven that kids just need an hour a day with their fathers. Just an hour… Can you imagine, and they will be just fine,” DJ Krowbar said.
Message for fathers
DJ Krowbar said Men’s Mental Health Month is an important reminder for men to take care of themselves and avoid carrying unnecessary pressure. He explained that fathers often worry about whether they are doing enough for their children and families.

“So, during June, when we talk about men’s mental health. Don’t crush yourself, even an hour a week will do magic,” DJ Krowbar said.
He also spoke about the role of faith within families. According to him, introducing faith at home can have a lasting impact on children as they grow up and make their own life choices.
“Another interesting statistic said: A family where the father introduces God in the family has a 85% chance that all his kids will follow Christ all their lives,” DJ Krowbar said.
Alongside his message, DJ Krowbar reflected on how quickly children grow. He shared a light-hearted observation while spending time with his son, noting that moments parents enjoy today may not last forever.
“PS: In a few years, I won’t be able to carry this young man like this again… These legs are too long… Zineweza…,” DJ Krowbar said.
