Diamond’s mum celebrates Zuchu’s baby girl with heartfelt welcome to Dangote family
By Steve Ireri, August 2, 2026Tanzanian music star Diamond Platnumz’s mother, Mama Sandrah Abdul Juma, popularly known as Mama Dangote, has welcomed her newborn granddaughter into the Dangote family with a heartfelt message after Diamond and his partner, singer Zuchu, welcomed their first child together.
In an Instagram post on Sunday, August 2, 2026, Mama Dangote expressed her love for the newest member of the family and shared affectionate wishes for her granddaughter.
In the message, she warmly welcomed the baby, referring to her as her little sister and expressing excitement over her arrival into the family.
“Karibu bi mdogo wangu (N), bint Naseeb Kichwa!! Tunakupenda sana,” she wrote.
She went on to assure the newborn that she was deeply loved, sending her a heartfelt message of affection as she marked the arrival of the latest member of the Dangote family.
Mama Dangote then added a playful twist to her message, jokingly asking the newborn to come and take her husband.
She further said she would be very happy if the baby eventually inherited her neck, expressing her wish that the newborn would take after her in that particular physical feature.
“Haya uje kunichukulia mume wangu sasa. Nitafurahi sana upate urithi wa shingo yangu!!!” Mama Dangote wrote.
Diamond was the first to share the news, introducing their daughter to the world with an emotional message celebrating the newest addition to their family.
“Welcome to the world, our precious little angel. You are already loved more than words can ever say!” the singer wrote.
Zuchu also shared her own emotional reaction to becoming a mother, describing her newborn daughter as her “whole world”.

Separately, Taarab icon Khadija Kopa, who is Zuchu’s mum, hit back at people who continue to speculate that her daughter’s partner, Diamond Platnumz, is romantically involved with other women.
“You are saying he is in many relationships with other women. You yourself have seen him with those women?” Khadija asked, challenging those who claim that Diamond is involved in other relationships.
According to Zuchu’s mother, many of the claims circulating online are based on people connecting unrelated events and drawing their own conclusions without having concrete evidence.
“That is just people joining dots and speculating. That is why you yourself have not seen him,” she said.
Khadija went on to caution that similar rumours could be made about anyone, including herself, without necessarily being true.
“Even people can also say such things and lie about people like me, but it may not be true,” she added.
The taarab star further revealed that she does not lose sleep over gossip surrounding her daughter and Diamond’s relationship, saying she has no reason to allow speculation to disturb her peace.
“Such gossip does not give me sleepless nights at all. There is no reason. We do not deal with or focus our time on speculations,” she said.
