Corazon Kwamboka breaks down over Sam Kitiki’s health struggle, calls for support

Media personality and entrepreneur Corazon Kwamboka has appealed to Kenyans to support celebrity barber Sam Kitiki after he shared an update on his worsening health.
In a post shared on her Instagram page on Thursday, August 21, 2026, Kwamboka said she did not know Kitiki personally but felt compelled to speak after learning about his situation.
She said she was deeply affected after seeing Kitiki’s condition and urged those able to help him access treatment and care.
Corazon moved by Kitiki’s condition
Kwamboka said Kitiki’s reported weight loss and battle with cancer had left her emotional. She compared his current weight to that of her young son, saying the comparison made it difficult for her to imagine what he was going through.

“I don’t even know him personally, but this has hit me so deeply. I’ve cried so many tears watching what he’s going through. Twenty-nine kilogrammes is almost the weight of my son, and I can’t even imagine the pain and strength it must take to fight through this,” Kwamboka said.
She urged Kenyans to offer support in whatever way they could, saying even small acts of help could make a difference. “Please, please, if you’re able to help in any way, however big or small, please do. Let’s come together and help this man get the treatment and care he needs,” she added.
Kwamboka also asked her followers to share Kitiki’s story so that it could reach more people who may be able to assist.

Kitiki appeals for help
Kwamboka’s appeal came shortly after Kitiki shared details of his health condition on Instagram. The celebrity barber revealed that he is battling cancer and said his condition had worsened, with the illness now visible around his mouth and lips.
“Things are getting worse. I’m now 29kg, and the cancer is now evident in my mouth and lips. I’m appealing for Kenyans’ help in my treatment,” Kitiki said.
He explained that the illness had affected both his health and ability to run his small barbershop. According to Kitiki, he had used money meant for his treatment to keep the business running, hoping that customers would help him earn enough to meet his needs.
However, he said business had become difficult, with some days passing without a single customer visiting his shop.

Balancing treatment and business
Kitiki said the situation had forced him to make difficult decisions between paying for treatment and keeping his source of income open.
He maintained that he wanted to continue working and earning a living with dignity while also getting the medical care he needs. “I want to keep fighting. I don’t want to give up. But I am human, and this journey is wearing me down,” he said.
He appealed to Kenyans to support his barbershop by visiting, getting haircuts, or recommending the business to others. Kitiki said such support would help him continue with treatment while keeping his livelihood going.
He also thanked those who had supported him previously and asked for their help again as he continues dealing with the illness. Kwamboka, meanwhile, ended her appeal with a message of hope, praying for Kitiki’s recovery and urging Kenyans to share his story.
