Bishop Maina Wa OTC makes new prophecy as he urges Kindiki to resign from Ruto’s govt

Born Again Evangelism Church preacher Maina Wa OTC has made a fresh prophecy concerning Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, urging him to resign from the Kenya Kwanza administration and abandon his position in President William Ruto’s government.
In an interview shared on his Facebook page on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, the preacher warned that remaining in the Deputy President’s position would lead him astray and expose him to rejection and humiliation from members of the Mt Kenya community.
Maina called on Kindiki to leave the position immediately, insisting that the Deputy President’s seat would ultimately bring him shame.
“That Deputy President seat, leave it. Please go and resign now. That seat will lead you astray, and you will face rejection from your own Mt Kenya people,” Maina Wa OTC said.
The preacher further warned Kindiki that the position would expose him to what he described as significant shame, urging him to reconsider his continued stay in the government.
“That seat will also bring a lot of shame on you, so please leave it,” he added.
Maina framed his message as a prophetic warning, saying he was speaking to the Deputy President in his capacity as a seer and prophet.
He also sought to distance himself from prophets who make political predictions in exchange for money, insisting that his message to Kindiki was not motivated by financial gain.
“And I am sending this to you as a seer and prophet, and I am not those seers who make such statements to look for money or such things. I am not telling you this because I want money,” he said.

The preacher then questioned the value Kindiki had received from people who had received financial support to campaign for him, challenging the Deputy President to consider whether those individuals had delivered meaningful results.
“Ask yourself, all those people you have given money to do campaigns for you, what have they helped you with?” Maina Wa OTC asked.
He urged Kindiki to listen to his warning instead of relying solely on the advice of political allies and campaigners.
“Can’t you just listen to me? And I am not asking for any money from you,” he said.
Maina Wa OTC also claimed that the Deputy President’s position was being sought by another individual whom he described as a leader from the Kikuyu community.
According to the preacher, the position could eventually be handed to someone else, although he predicted that the person who takes over would also face political difficulties.
“That seat, I know it is someone else who wants to be given it, a Kikuyu community leader, but I know also that even after they get it, they will also fall,” he said.
His remarks come amid continued political conversations surrounding the future of the Kenya Kwanza administration and the place of Mt Kenya leaders in the country’s political landscape.
Kindiki, who comes from Tharaka-Nithi County, was appointed Deputy President after Ruto nominated him to replace Rigathi Gachagua, who was removed from office in October 2024 following an impeachment process.
The appointment placed Kindiki at the centre of national political attention and made him one of the administration’s most prominent figures.
