Andrew Kibe sets new rules for podcast invitations amid backlash
By Valerian Khakayi, June 29, 2026Digital content creator Andrew Kibe has announced new conditions for anyone seeking to feature him on a podcast, days after facing criticism over remarks he made about rapper Stevo Simple Boy during an interview with comedian and media personality Sande Bush, widely known as Dr Ofweneke.
Taking to social media on Monday, June 29, 2026, Kibe said future podcast invitations would come with two non-negotiable conditions.
He stated that future podcast invitations would only be accepted if hosts paid him and refrained from censoring his remarks.

“From now on, if you invite me to your podcast, pay; don’t bleep [censor] my sh*t. Anything else is of the evil one,” Kibe wrote.

Backlash on insensitive remarks
The former radio presenter’s new rules come amid growing backlash over comments he made about Stevo Simple Boy during his appearance on Dr Ofweneke’s podcast.
Kibe, during an episode of the Lessons at 30 podcast, said people like Stevo Simple Boy should not be allowed to have children, sparking widespread criticism online.
The rapper said disagreements should remain between adults and that children should never be targeted because of their parents or physical appearance.

He further expressed disappointment over the remarks and urged Kibe to focus on him instead of involving an innocent child.
According to the rapper, he has never had control over how he was born but has always worked hard to build a respectable life and provide for his family.
“Andrew Kibe, kama una tatizo na mimi, zungumza kuhusu mimi. Lakini usimhusishe mtoto wangu ambaye hana kosa lolote,” Stevo wrote.
Additionally, Stevo went on to stress that every child deserves respect and should never be looked down upon because of their appearance or the circumstances surrounding their birth.
“Sijawahi kuchagua nilivyozaliwa, lakini nimechagua kuwa mtu mwenye heshima, kufanya kazi kwa bidii na kujenga familia yangu. Watoto wote ni baraka, na hakuna mtoto anayestahili kudharauliwa kwa sababu ya mwonekano wake au wazazi wake,” he added.
“Mimi nitaendelea kusonga mbele. Mungu ndiye hakimu wa wote.“
