Andrew Kibe explains why married men should hand wives money before the kids
By William Muthama, July 5, 2026Content creator Andrew Kibe has advised married men to openly provide for their families by giving money to their wives in the presence of their children.
In a post shared on X on Sunday, July 5, 2026, Kibe argued that the gesture helps children understand who is providing for the family and prevents misconceptions about their fathers’ role in the household.
“Happily married” men: give your wife the money right in front of the kids. Let them see who the provider really is,” he wrote.
Family perceptions matter
Kibe has argued that some children grow up believing their fathers do little for the family because they never witness them providing financially.
According to him, this perception can arise when mothers are the ones who handle most of the household spending, leaving children unaware of where the money comes from.

“Too many mothers tell the children their dad is worthless and that time you’re out there selling your diabz just to keep the family afloat,” he added.
Kibe suggested that making financial support visible could help children appreciate both parents’ contributions and reduce misunderstandings about their father’s role.
Personal experience shared
Kibe noted that his advice was informed by his own experience, signing off the post with the words, “Speaking as a formerly happily married puny.”

The remark appeared to reference his previous marriage while acknowledging that his views were shaped by his personal experiences.
His remarks came after one of his followers shared a personal experience, saying their mother was the family’s sole provider.
“Yoooh, Mr Lambistic, my Dad ni mwanaume aina gani coz mum ni yeye huprovide kila kitu kwa nyumba adi rent ni mum hulipa…” the follower wrote.
