‘Nairobi imekuwa high school’: TikToker blasts Mosiria for making footbridge offenders collect litter

Popular TikToker Mrs Crashout has criticised Nairobi City County Chief Officer for Citizen Engagement and Customer Service Geoffrey Mosiria over his decision to make pedestrians caught avoiding footbridges collect litter as punishment.

Speaking in a TikTok video shared on Friday, August 7, 2026, Mrs Crashout said the county official’s approach had reminded her of the strict disciplinary environment of high school, joking that she had already marked the road where he had been conducting the operations.

“By now I have marked that road where Mosiria is cornering people who are not using the footbridge. The way I know myself, it is so easy to find myself caught there,” she said.

Mrs Crashout said she had watched several videos from Mosiria’s operations and was particularly amused by how he orders pedestrians to collect litter after catching them crossing the road instead of using the designated footbridge.

“It reminds me of high school. And I have seen him ordering people, and I saw a video of him holding the phone for one of the ladies so she could collect litter first,” she said.

She also pointed out that Mosiria records the encounters, meaning the people being punished can find themselves appearing in videos shared online.

“And haha, he also records you the whole time,” she said.

Mrs Crashout then jokingly questioned whether the footage could create problems for people with partners who might come across the videos online.

“Please, do you want to ruin my marriage? Be careful what you post online because it will make a blueprint for me,” she said.

The TikToker said she had also seen footage of Mosiria ordering an elderly woman to collect litter, further reinforcing her comparison between the crackdown and the disciplinary measures associated with school life.

“I am telling you, I saw a video of him even ordering a very old woman to collect litter,” she said.

Mrs Crashout went on to joke that Kenya had effectively turned into a school, with Nairobi serving as the classroom where Mosiria was enforcing the rules.

“Waa, Kenya has become high school and Nairobi the classroom,” she said.

She added that she had already decided to avoid the road where Mosiria has been conducting the crackdown, joking that she would continue marking other roads if the county official moved his operations elsewhere.

“But for me, I have marked that road, and I will avoid him, and if he moves to another road, I will also mark the one,” she said.
