Andrew Kibe accepts Peter Salasya’s boxing challenge, vows to start training
Content creator Andrew Kibe has officially accepted Mumias East MP Peter Salasya’s challenge to a boxing match, saying he is ready to settle their long-running rivalry in the ring—provided the legislator first signs a legally binding agreement.
In a Facebook post on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, Kibe confirmed that he is willing to face Salasya at Vurugu 3, the celebrity boxing event expected to take place later this year.
According to Kibe, the proposed fight should be held in December to give him enough time to prepare physically.
“So I’ve decided to accept Ka Salasya’s offer to whoop his ass. We do this in December to give me time to train, but only after he signs makalatas ndiyo naanza training,” he wrote.
The controversial content creator added a humorous jab directed at the legislator, saying he wanted signed documents first because he could not risk Salasya pulling out of the contest.
“Huwezi trust Mluhya anaeza ruka story anytime,” he added.

Kibe’s response comes just days after Salasya publicly challenged him to a boxing match during the upcoming Vurugu 3 event.
The Mumias East MP had expressed confidence that a fight between the two would become one of the biggest attractions of the celebrity boxing tournament.
“Itakuwa mbaya zaidi Andrew Kibe pale kwa Oga Obinna Vurugu 3,” Salasya wrote on social media.

Responding to Salasya’s request, Obinna said he was willing to put up an initial Ksh2 million prize purse for the fight, with the amount potentially increasing to Ksh5 million through sponsorships and partnerships if Kibe agreed to participate.
“@peter_salasya, your wish is my command. Talk to him to accept the challenge. We start by putting in 2M hard cash. I’m sure it can get to 5M #Vurugu3,” Obinna posted.
Obinna also took a playful swipe at Kibe, claiming the prize money would be more beneficial to him than to the legislator.
“Salasya doesn’t really need the money; his opponent does. Let’s go!!!” he added.
