Adelle Onyango: Having multiple partners does not make a woman bad

By , June 20, 2026

Radio and media personality Adelle Onyango has said that having multiple sexual partners or choosing not to be in a monogamous relationship does not make a woman a bad person.

The media personality shared the message while expressing support for a statement she agreed with on Saturday, June 20, 2026.

“I love this! Having multiple sexual partners or not being in a monogamous relationship doesn’t make a woman a ‘bad woman”, please,” Adelle Onyango said.

Her remarks focused on how women are often judged based on their relationship choices. Adelle made it clear that she does not believe a woman’s character should be determined by whether she has one partner or several partners.

The media personality has previously spoken publicly about relationships and personal choices. Over the years, she has shared parts of her own experiences and the lessons she has learned from them.

Adelle’s latest remarks come months after she opened up about the end of her marriage. In September 2025, she reflected on her relationship with her former husband, Falgun Bhojak, and explained how differences in expectations affected their union.

Relationship expectations

According to Adelle, the relationship started on a happy note, and the couple enjoyed their early years together. She recalled positive memories from their first and second Christmas celebrations as a married couple.

“In our third year together, it was not just our apartment that didn’t feel like home, but also my marriage,” Adelle Onyango said.

She explained that over time, it became clear that the expectations each of them had for the marriage were different. The differences eventually created challenges that could not be resolved.

Adelle said she realised that the wife her husband wanted was not the same woman she was. She noted that this became more apparent as the marriage progressed and the couple faced difficult moments.

After several arguments, one evening in bed, he told her she had refused to give him three things he considered essential to a marriage: a child, wearing a ring, and taking his surname.

In her latest statement, Adelle maintained that a woman should not be labelled a bad person because of her relationship choices or for choosing to be in a monogamous relationship.
