“We held a successful meeting with Gengetone artists Parroty Vunulu and Shekina Karen alongside interviewer Fridah of Fridah’s Verdict,” Babu Owino said.

The politician explained that art and music continue to play an important role in society, especially among young people looking for opportunities. According to him, the entertainment industry can provide income and help keep many youths focused on positive activities.

Babu Owino said leaders have a responsibility to support creative talent and invest in young people who are trying to build careers through music and art. He explained that ignoring such talent would deny many youths important opportunities.

“Art and music play a major role in creating employment opportunities for our young people and keeping many away from crime, drugs and hopelessness,” Babu Owino stated.

According to him, supporting local talent can also strengthen the economy by creating jobs within the entertainment industry.

“As leaders, we must nurture and invest in these talents,” Babu Owino said.
