Aura Gold warns fans not to assume a man is behind her achievements

Influencer Aura Gold has addressed speculation about her success, warning people not to assume a man is behind her achievements.
In a TikTok post on Saturday, December 14, 2025, she expressed frustration at repeated questions about her personal life and career, saying, “Let this be the very last time on this app that I see hapo chini ya video zangu eti…Aura Gold boyfriend. Eti, what does Aura Gold do for a living?”
She said that her hard work over the past two years has been the driving force behind her accomplishments.

“From 2 years ago, hamjawai niona niki suffered? I have been suffering, the way I have been doing videos back to back,” she said, highlighting her consistent effort and dedication.
Aura Gold pointed out a clear double standard between men and women in public perception. She said if a man were in her position, no one would question who supports him or pays his bills.
“And you know, the thing that pisses me off is actually the fact that if this were a man, nobody would be asking that question. No one. People see successful men, who have everything together, and nobody asks, “Ohh…who is your girlfriend? Or who is your wife? No, wait, who is paying for your bills? like the audacity,” she explained.
Standing up against stereotypes
The social media star also criticised the way women are reduced to beauty standards online. She said the focus on appearance often overshadows achievements and hard work.

“It has unfortunately come to my attention that this app and maybe the internet have reduced women to beauty standards. That is all women are. And unfortunately, sisi wanawake ndio tunajifanya hivyo,” Aura Gold said.
She urged people to recognise the work, effort, and creativity that women put into their careers rather than assuming external support or attributing their success to men.
She concluded by reinforcing that her journey is the result of personal effort, determination, and resilience, making it clear that her accomplishments are hers alone. Aura Gold continues to challenge societal norms and encourages recognition of women for their hard work and independence.
