Media personality Andrew Kibe has shared a blunt message urging people to stop living to impress others and instead spend their money on themselves while they are alive.

In a short message shared on Facebook on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, Kibe argued that constant people-pleasing is a trap that robs individuals of freedom and fulfilment, claiming that most relationships are transactional rather than genuine.

“My friend, the day you stop trying to please people is the day you become liberated,” Kibe wrote.

According to him, people are often valued not for who they are, but for what they can provide, financially, emotionally, or socially.

“People don’t give a shit about you, they only care for what you can provide,” he added.

Kibe went on to challenge traditional ideas around saving and legacy, saying individuals should aim to exhaust their wealth before death rather than accumulate money they will never enjoy.

Using the phrase “die with your bank account reading zero bob,” he encouraged followers to prioritise experiences, personal happiness, and self-investment over hoarding wealth for appearances or societal expectations.

“You should make sure to die with your bank account reading 0 bob. Eat all that money now,” he added.

Failed marriage

The statement comes just days after Kibe opened up about the reasons behind his failed marriages, saying he was never meant to be a married man.

In a candid conversation with radio host Jacquey Nyaminde, widely known as Wilbroda, Kibe admitted that he has always been too free‑spirited to fully commit to one partner, and looking back, he believes he should have realised that much earlier.

“I am too free-spirited to have been a married man; I should have known that earlier. I should not have wasted their time and my time getting into relationships,” Kibe said.

Kibe described himself as someone who prefers freedom over commitment.

“I don’t like relationships, because why am I committing to you? I do not like that, for I am very clear about my relationships. I do not commit to you, and do not commit to me; we meet, we have a good time,” he added.

When asked if he would ever consider getting married again after going through two failed marriages, Kibe did not hesitate to say he is completely done with the idea.

“I would never make that mistake again. I would rather die first,” Kibe stated.

Kibe also revealed that he has six children with different women, noting that only two of them know him personally.

“They are six with different babymamas, na wawili wanajua baba yao, and are very proud of their father,” he revealed.
