Ciru Muriuki revives podcast she hosted with late fiancé Charles Ouda

Media personality Ciru Muriuki has announced the return of the podcast she hosted with her late fiancé, actor Charles Ouda.
The podcast’s Instagram page, which last shared a post in December 2023, is now preparing for a new chapter after Ciru revealed that the first episode of season two will be released soon.
Ciru shared the update on the podcast’s Instagram page, marking its first major announcement since Charles’ death in February 2024. The announcement signals the return of a project the couple had created together before his passing.
“First episode of season 2 coming soon,” the post read on Saturday, July 18, 2026.

The update comes more than two years after activity on the podcast’s social media page stopped. The last post was shared in December 2023, just one month before Charles passed away.
Continuing a shared project
The return of the podcast marks a new milestone for Ciru as she continues with a project that she and Charles built together. While she did not share further details about the upcoming season, the announcement confirmed that new episodes are on the way.
Charles Ouda died in February 2024, bringing an unexpected end to the creative journey he had shared with Ciru. The podcast remained inactive after his death until the latest announcement about season two.

In 2025, Ciru remembered Charles on the first anniversary of his death with an emotional tribute. She reflected on the pain of losing him and described the impact his absence has had on her life.
“A year ago today, I learned what pain was. True, devastating, earth-shattering pain. And in the minutes, hours, days since, your absence has taught me yet another lesson; that you were truly the love of my life,” Ciru wrote.
She also shared how difficult life has been without him, saying she misses his voice, laughter and the moments they created together.
“I hate living without you. I hate not being able to see you. I hate never hearing your voice, your laugh, whatever new nickname you conjured up for me. I hate not creating with you. I hate falling asleep without you. I hate waking up without you. I hate that this is my reality now, this life sentence without parole,” Ciru wrote.
Ciru also remembered Charles for the impact he had beyond their relationship.
“I hate that a year ago, the world lost one of its brightest stars,” she shared.
“I love you, my king. Always. Always.” Ciru wrote.
