Ellah Ray, sister to social media influencer Amber Ray, has urged women to have children only when they are truly ready.

In a lengthy post shared on Friday, February 27, 2026, Ellah said that motherhood should be a choice made for the right reasons.

“Ladies, please have children for the right reasons for you and because you are truly ready to be a mother,” she said.

She said motherhood is beautiful but also comes with lifelong responsibilities. She expressed that women must be prepared emotionally, mentally, and financially before bringing a child into the world.

“Don’t do it because a man wants a baby. Don’t do it to keep someone. And don’t do it hoping a child will secure a relationship,” she said.

Ellah Ray said women should have children intentionally and for themselves.

“Have a baby because you are intentional. Because you are ready to love, nurture, provide, and stand strong no matter what happens,” she said.

She stressed that readiness is more important than anyone else’s expectations.

Motherhood from a place of strength

She said a woman cannot force a man to accept responsibility if he chooses not to.

“If he walks away, let him. Redirect that energy into building yourself,” she said.

She encouraged women to find work, start something, grow, and strengthen themselves. She added that a child deserves a stable, focused, and empowered mother.

Ellah Ray said women should choose motherhood from a place of strength and not out of fear.

“Choose motherhood from a place of readiness, not pressure. Choose it from strength, not fear,” she said.

She explained the importance of making decisions that benefit both the mother and the child.

She also advised those who do become mothers.

“And if you do become a mother, be the kind who can say, ‘I chose this, and I will rise for my child no matter what,’” she said.

She encouraged women to embrace responsibility fully and stand firm for the sake of their children.

Ellah Ray said that intentional choices in motherhood create stronger families and empowered women. She said readiness and focus are essential, and that women should build their lives with confidence and strength before bringing a child into the world.
