“Birthdays mean the world to me,” Nderu said, describing the day as a blessing granted by a higher power and the universe.
She said being alive and healthy is something she does not take lightly as each year passes. She also reflected on the importance of community, saying she feels blessed to be surrounded by people she wants to live life with for a long time.
“To be blessed with a community you want to live with forever because time with them is fascinating,” she shared.
