Just hours after scores got injured and property was destroyed in a tense minipoll that saw Seth Panyako silenced by David Ndakwa, the police, on the other hand, have made some progress.

Through a statement shared by the National Police Service via its X handle on Friday, November 28, 2025, the NPS confirmed intercepting a pickup vehicle ferrying weapons in Kakamega County.

The incident occurred in Khwisero, where officers on patrol during the Kisa East Ward by-election stopped the vehicle and discovered a cache of crude weapons.

This led to the apprehension of four persons of interest who were immediately escorted to a police station.
