Waihiga Mwaura, Joyce Omondi toast their 8th wedding anniversary in style
BBC journalist Waihiga Mwaura and his wife Joyce Omondi are celebrating eight years since walking down the aisle in December 2015.
The lovers who are currently on vacation in Asia looked as stunning as ever as they cuddled up inside an unnamed hotel during a romantic dinner.
In a short clip, Joyce was treated to a pleasant surprise where a violinist first serenaded her before performing for the couple with a love song playing in the background.
She attached a sweet caption: “Happy Anniversary my love.”
Over the years, the former colleagues have had great accomplishments including Waihiga securing his Master’s degree and the big shift to BBC and have also faced various hurdles including harsh scrutiny by online womb watchers.
Previously, Joyce Omondi was forced to address the rumours and possibly put to an end the enduring chatter.
At the time, Joyce got her fans speculating on a possible ‘bun in the oven’ after sharing a photo in a flowy dress with the top covered with frills.
After a flood of netizens’ comments speculating and congratulating her, she quickly responded to battle the pregnancy chatter with a subtle statement that reads:
“Can we just let women look cute in flowy dresses? Lemme shine in these yellow frills please,” she said noting God’s time is the best.
“So it seems the ruching at the waist of the dress in my latest post has people seeing their own things. God’s timing will be best. Thank you for all the love nonetheless.”
