Triza Njeri shares cryptic message hours after Karangu Muraya’s public apology
By Steve Ireri, August 3, 2025Gospel artiste Triza Njeri has sparked fresh speculation over her fallout with Karangu Muraya after sharing a cryptic yet sharp message on her social media platforms, just hours after the popular emcee issued a public apology to her.
On the morning of Sunday, August 3, 2025, Njeri took to her Facebook page to share a post where she talked about something being null and void, leaving fans to read that she was responding to her ex-hubby’s apology.
“It’s null and void,” Triza wrote.

Karangu’s apology
Karangu, in a lengthy Facebook post shared on the night of Saturday, July 2, 2025, had attempted to make amends with Njeri following weeks of public silence between the two, expressing remorse and admitting that he had wronged her.
Karangu acknowledged his shortcomings, confessed to making regrettable mistakes in his marriage, and pleaded for forgiveness, not only from Triza but also from his supporters, critics, and the wider public.
The ‘Gutiri Mugwi’ crooner admitted that he had allowed external pressures, including fame, politics, and criticism, to distract him from protecting what mattered most: his home.
“Today, I want to pour my heart out and speak to Triza Mamake Muraya, the mother of my children. Triza, I have wronged you. I have said and done things that have caused you pain. I know I have failed you, and I take full responsibility for my mistakes. I’m sorry for allowing people I assumed were your friends to discuss you,” Karangu wrote.

He said he recognised the toll his public statements and social media outbursts had taken on his family, particularly Triza, who recently urged him to embrace silence and protect his peace rather than continually explaining himself to online critics.
The singer, who has found himself in the middle of intense public scrutiny following his interactions with political leaders like President William Ruto and Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, noted that the weight of criticism had pushed him into a defensive posture, prompting several emotional livestreams.
However, in this latest message, he said he was not defending himself but rather seeking grace.
“I also hope you’ll remember the many moments I’ve genuinely loved, supported, and stood by you. I ask for your grace, not because I deserve it, but because I still deeply value our family. Please find it in your heart to remember both my wrong and my many rights.”
Karangu asked Triza to forgive him for any pain he had caused, both publicly and privately.
He stated that although their journey had been far from perfect, he remained deeply thankful for her loyalty and strength, even when his own conduct had drawn shame and confusion.
“I have gone through a lot of challenges in the recent days. I have not been mentally, emotionally and socially stable, and as a result, I lost focus. I’m sorry to allow pressure, frustrations and emotions to control me. And then, in the middle of everything, my brother’s sickness came in and pushed me further down emotionally.”

He also reached out to fans and followers who had supported him through thick and thin, urging them to judge him with compassion rather than condemnation.
He noted that he was still growing, learning, and praying for wisdom, adding that public life had revealed both his strength and his immaturity.
“None of these are an excuse for how I have treated you. You are the mother of my children. To my friends, followers, the brands which I worked for and my family – I also ask for your forgiveness. Pray for me and my family. I am human; I have made mistakes, but I am determined to stand again and correct my wrongs,” Karangu added.
