Director Trevor has stirred up quite a buzz for consistently creating content centred around his breakup with Eve Mungai on the rebranded ‘Kenya Online Media’
Just days after announcing Eve’s departure and purportedly firing her, Trevor seems to be investing heavily in content revolving around their split, leaving netizens questioning his motives.
In the latest episode, viewers were treated to insights into the aftermath of the breakup, with the reporter, Captain Nyota, gathering public opinions on Eve Mungai’s next career move.
Many netizens have voiced concerns about Trevor’s apparent focus on capitalizing on their breakup for clout, rather than diversifying content on the channel.
Some have accused the two of clout chasing noting that they wouldn’t be surprised if all these were just a facade.

Trevor, Eve Mungai breakup
Director Trevor has disclosed that his relationship with Eve Mungai ended a year ago, contrary to the public display of a blissful romance.
In a video shared on the revamped ‘Kenya Online Media’ YouTube channel, formerly known as the Mungai Eve Show, Trevor, through his new reporter, Captain Nyota, disclosed the truth noting that they had decided to keep their breakup a secret and work together to protect the brand.
“We worked together last year while not being in a romantic relationship until February this year when we officially decided to part ways,” Trevor revealed through Nyota.
On Monday, February 19, Trevor came out guns blazing saying he had fired Eve Mungai and taken full control of their shared social media accounts.
He also said Eve would not be getting her usual cut from the income generated by their once co-shared channels.
He unveiled the channel’s new identity, rebranding to ‘Kenya Online Media (KOM)’, effective Tuesday, February 20.
Trevor’s announcement came alongside a cryptic message seemingly directed at his former partner.
“Someone is sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago,” he wrote.
He went further to hold a Q&A session to address fans’ curiosity about collaboration with Mungai.
When asked if he would continue working with Mungai, Trevor made it clear that her involvement in their joint platforms was terminated.
“No! Her services are no longer needed in the following platforms: YouTube – 754K subscribers, Insta Fame – 104K subscribers, Facebook – 874K followers,” he responded.
