Thee Pluto opens up on dating again and why he moved on after 6 months
Popular YouTuber and entrepreneur Robert Ndegwa Kamau, popularly known as Thee Pluto, has opened up about his decision to move on and start dating again, just six months after his breakup.
In an interview with Oga Obinna on Monday, November 17, 2025, Pluto revealed that he moved on six months after his breakup with his past partner.

Pluto went on explaining that he is currently dating someone and is in a serious relationship with her.
“Kudate nayo nadate hiyo nayo siwezi ficha ama nidanyanye. Yes, I am seeing someone; I am in a very serious relationship,” Pluto added.
On his part, Pluto revealed how difficult it was for him to move on after their breakup, which pushed him to move on after six months.
“It took me almost six months so I could get to this relationship, haikua rahisi mimi siwezi wadanganya,” Pluto said.
With questions rising about six months being a short period for him to move on, Pluto explained that his moving on had nothing to do with the love he had for his ex-partner.
“Six months was a lot for me to move on…nilikua nafaa kumove on after years?…yes, I really loved that person. Hiyo nayo siwezi kana because you cannot be in a three-year-old relationship with someone if you did not mean it,” he added.
Grieving past relationships
On his part, Pluto explained the concept of grief after a relationship amid the loss of a loved one while linking it to his past relationship.
“You know people are different unaeza pata even a member of your family has died, but hiyo grief haijakushika vizuri, then later…the real grief starts when the funeral ends; that is when you do not see people anymore,” he explained.
He explained how, after his breakup, he immediately went through the grieving process.

Pluto revealed how his six-month break from love helped him heal and self-reflect.

He further revealed that he has evolved privately.
“I have evolved as a person, and I have improved privately; full responsibility for my past partner played out in that relationship,” Pluto said.
