Sol Generation signs Ugandan artiste Anko Ronie

In a post on Instagram on Thursday, November 27, 2025, the music label welcomed Anko Ronie and heaped praise on him, saying he is a true original whose soulful voice and heartfelt lyrics are making waves in the music scene.
“We’re thrilled to welcome the incredibly talented @anko_ronie to our family! 🇺🇬🥳🥂,” Sol Generation wrote.
Sol Generation highlighted that Anko Ronie hails from Kampala, Uganda, and noted that his music reflects both his rich cultural heritage and his passion for storytelling through song.
The label added that the artiste has collaborated with notable Ugandan music icons, including Eddy Kenzo and Bebe Cool, and emphasised that these collaborations have helped cement his status as one of the rising stars in Afro-R&B.

Sol Generation also celebrated the artiste’s recent recognition, noting that he was named among the recipients of the prestigious Forty Under 40 Africa award, further underlining his influence and growing reputation in the African music industry.

Zikomo Awards nominee
The announcement comes just days after Anko Ronie was nominated for the Best Zikomo African Music Producer of the Year 2025.
Zikomo Awards confirmed the nomination in an Instagram post on November 2, 2025, while listing all nominees of the fifth edition of the Zikomo Africa & Caribbean Awards.
In the post, they congratulated Ronie for his outstanding talent and dedication, adding that they were excited to celebrate the achievements of the artiste and all other nominees of the key awards.
