Being in the limelight requires a lot of courage and not many celebrities in Kenya are willing to disclose the ailments they are battling secretly.
Digital content creator cum comedian Slyvia Savai alias Senjee Comedy has yet again come out to reveal that she had to shave her hair because it had started falling out because of the ailment she is battling with.
In a post shared on her Instagram page, the comic entertainer narrated how she had to lie to everyone that she wanted to change her hairstyle but deep down she was battling with something heavy.
“I shaved my hair and lied to everyone I wanted to change my hairstyle and keep a straight face but the truth was my hair had started falling out I’d wake up every day and realize it was coming out more, so I knelt and asked God to take control over that because am already battling something heavy,” she narrated.
Additionally, the comedienne revealed that she started experiencing hair loss at the end of June but decided to shave in mid-July after holding on to it with hopes it might stop. Adding that sometimes she experiences a lot of pain but she is optimistic.
“Well, that started happening at the end of June. I held on to it for as long as I could. had to let go mid-July.. sahi tunacheza na wigs na maombi kwa wingi. I know that I’m surviving through God’s mercies. Jana, I had a really rough night, but I made it through.. niko hapa nimekula Michele nimeshiba sasa nilale,” she disclosed.
“Mkiniona hapa nnje nikiruka ruka looking all happy just let me enjoy those moments, because when the moods and pain kick in hakuna raha hata kidogo.. But hey nikigonga 95 hivi na wajukuu kumi na tano sio mbaya sana sindio. Goodnight fam #endo.”
Battling Endometriosis
On April 25, 2024, the content creator, disclosed that she has been battling with endometriosis.
Voicing her vulnerability, Senje went ahead to say that every month during menses her body paralysis on the right side caused some of her organs to fail.
“Every time I get my period I paralyze on the whole right side of my body and the pain is too much. Unfortunately, some of my organs have to go since they are not needed anymore,” she explained.
She further disclosed that she has to undergo two surgeries which are scheduled for June 2024 in Atlanta Georgia.
“I’m a little bit scared but mostly anxiety is doing a number on me… For those who’ve been following my journey since last year, it’s been decided that I’ll possibly undergo two surgeries scheduled in June that will take place in Atlanta Georgia,” she said.
