Sauti Sol lead singer Bien-Aime Baraza has defended Bongo star Diamond Platnumz over his struggles with English.
The newest Netflix show ‘Young, Famous & African’ was trending in Kenya after Diamond ‘murdered’ English during a date with Nadia Nakai on the show.
It all started when the Bongo star was asked how old he was and in his response that took social media by a storm, he said he was 31st-years-old.
“How old are you?” Nakai asked to which the singer responded; “I’m 31st.”
Reacting to the same, Bien urged social media users to desist from making fun of Diamond noting that he is an amazing musician who is using every opportunity to make money moves.
The singer questioned why netizens made a big deal out of the matter while some sections of people abroad also struggle with the Queen’s language.
“I see the French and Germans struggle to speak English and no one judges them. Many people speak English with an accent and some of you find it sexy. I commend Diamond, he is an amazing G, the things he has done, he is making big money moves,” Bien said.
Young, Famous & African which is mostly unscripted follows a crew of famed affluent stars as they work and play, flirt and feud in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The show features a group of wealthy young media personalities, musicians and fashion icons as they pursue their dreams, find love and reignite old romances.
