Ohangla sensation Prince Indah was left emotional after a fan surprised him with a portrait of his son during a YouTube interview held in Runda, Machakos, on Sunday, July 20, 2025.

The heartwarming moment unfolded mid-interview when the host invited the young fan into the conversation. Carrying a carefully framed artwork, the fan handed it to Indah, explaining that the gift was both a token of admiration and an effort to inspire the youth.

Niliskia unacome, ikabidi nikuletee hii kwa kumotivate vijana,” the fan said, expressing his desire to encourage fellow creatives by honouring Indah.

Visibly moved, Indah paused as he unwrapped the gift. His voice trembled with emotion as he said, “I wasn’t expecting this. This is priceless. I don’t know how much I can pay you for this. I’m so attached to this. I’m sure the mother will like it.”

The celebrated Ohangla artist, known for his heartfelt lyrics and electrifying performances, took time to praise the fan’s artistic skill.

“Bro, you are so amazing. Ile kidogo nitakupea sitasema ningapi, but naomba uchukue na moyo mkunjufu,” he said, hinting at a reward for the heartfelt gesture.

During the sit-down, Indah opened up about his deep ties to Ukambani, revealing he had studied there and still felt strongly connected to the community. The unexpected gift appeared to strengthen that bond.

“That has made my night the entire night,” Indah added as he smiled and admired the portrait once more.

The father of two, often described as one of the leading voices in Kenya’s Ohangla scene, has garnered widespread admiration for both his music and humility.

The emotional moment has since gone viral on social media, with fans praising Indah for his authenticity and the fan for the thoughtful gesture. The portrait, more than a gift, became a powerful symbol of connection between artist and audience, one defined by love, community, and mutual respect.

This comes months after Indah shook a sleepy village in Migori when he chaperoned his moneyed troops for a wedding. The luxurious affair featured all the trappings of royalty: choppers, black SUVs, red carpets, tons of gilded jewelry, and an embellished white dome.
