Omondi took to Instagram to share the construction details, emphasizing the materials needed and the overwhelming support the project has received.
“These are all the materials we need to complete the bridge in Waseges, Baringo. The Support has been overwhelming. Thank you to everyone who has donated anything so far. We will begin building this Wednesday,” he wrote.

The comedian-turned-activist first launched the campaign on August 5, 2024, calling on the public to help reconstruct the perilous bridge.
In a video shared on his Instagram page on Monday, August 5, 2024, Omondi documented the dire state of the bridge, which currently consists of just three logs of wood.
The footage showed schoolchildren navigating the unstable crossing, while an elderly lady braved the treacherous waters below.
Omondi said the bridge serves as a link for numerous communities, facilitating access to schools, markets, and places of worship.
“This is River Waseges in Baringo County. It is a trap. It connects several villages, schools, markets and churches. This community is helpless but we will step in and save lives. We are going to build this bridge,” Omondi wrote.
The activist first highlighted the dangerous condition of a bridge by posting several photos showing women crawling across it to reach the other side.
He requested specific information about the bridge’s location.
“Hey guys can someone from Baringo please confirm the location of this bridge? I am told it’s in Waseges River, Mochongoi Ward, Baringo South Constituency. Someone, please confirm
