Milly revealed that even when Tunya was bravely battling cancer, he still found time to call and encourage her during her illness.
In a heartfelt Instagram post on Friday, August 22, 2025, Milly wrote, “You were a truly amazing soul. When I was sick in March, you called to pray with me, even while you were bravely fighting cancer and spending months in and out of the hospital. Your calls and encouragement meant so much. You were a selfless man, and we miss you deeply. Though our hearts ache that you’re gone, we take comfort knowing Heaven has gained a true general.”
Tunya, the husband of fellow YouTuber Monica Shire, passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, after a long battle with multiple myeloma, a rare type of cancer. His passing was confirmed by Kabi Wajesus, a close family friend, who shared the sad news in an official statement on Instagram.
“It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear friend, @petershiretunya husband to @monicahshire, who went to be with the Lord today, August 20, 2025, at 6:32 am,” read part of Kabi’s message. “We appreciate the support you have already given so far.”
