Mbosso expresses interest in meeting Aisha Jumwa

Tanzanian Bongo Flava icon Mbwana Yusuf Kilungi, popularly known as Mbosso, has revealed his desire to meet Kenya Roads Board Chairperson Aisha Jumwa after receiving a heartfelt greeting from her upon his arrival in Kenya for his Eldoret show.
The interaction unfolded when YouTubers, who had gone to interview Mbosso at JKIA on Saturday, September 20, 2025, met Aisha Jumwa on their way to the airport.
Upon learning that they were en route to meeting the ‘Pawa’ hitmaker, Aisha sent a warm and personal greeting to him.
She shared her appreciation for Mbosso’s music, saying she first discovered him through his hit song ‘Kunguru’ and continues to enjoy his latest release, ‘Pawa’.
She made it clear that she hoped her greetings would reach Mbosso and expressed excitement at the thought of him acknowledging her in return.
“When you see Mbosso, please tell him that Hon. Aisha sends her greetings. He will know me. At the time, we were listening to his song ‘Kunguru,’ but now we are enjoying his latest release, ‘Pawa’,” Aisha said.

Mbosso expressed gratitude for the gesture, noting that he hopes to meet her in person someday, exchange greetings directly, and view it as a meaningful start to building an acquaintance.
He also wished her well in her professional work, showing respect and admiration for her role.
“I am very grateful, and I hope that one day I will meet her in person and exchange greetings. That will be the beginning of getting to know her, and I also wish her all the best in her work,” Mbosso said.
Eldoret trip
In the same interview, the artiste also expressed his excitement about returning to Eldoret for a major performance, marking his first show in the town since 2021.
Mbosso revealed that his journey to Eldoret has been long and exhausting, having travelled from Dar es Salaam to Uganda, where he performed before coming to Kenya.
He explained that after a brief two-hour rest upon arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, he and his team checked into a room at the airport before making plans to head to Eldoret.
“I have arrived here and I thank God for the long journey that has brought me to this point. I travelled from Dar es Salaam yesterday and went to Uganda, where I performed. After finishing my performance there, I rested for about two hours before heading to the airport, and that is how I arrived here in Kenya at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. We had to take a room at the airport to get some rest, and now we are on our way to Eldoret,” Mbosso said.
